Exfoliate Like Royalty — The Complete Guide to Body Scrubs

Cleopatra bathed in milk. Marie Antoinette indulged in elaborate skin rituals. The world’s most celebrated beauties throughout history have understood one timeless truth: exfoliation is the secret to skin that glows from within. At Beauty And Beyond Group, Inc., we have elevated this ancient practice into a modern luxury ritual worthy of royalty.

Why Exfoliation is Non-Negotiable

Your skin naturally sheds dead cells every 28–30 days — but this process slows as we age, and dead cells can accumulate on the surface, leaving skin looking dull, feeling rough, and absorbing moisturizers less effectively. Regular exfoliation removes this layer of dead skin, revealing the fresh, luminous skin beneath and allowing your nourishing products to penetrate more deeply and perform more effectively.

The result? Skin that is visibly smoother, more radiant, and more receptive to every product that follows.

Sugar Scrubs vs. Salt Scrubs — Which is Right for You?

Both sugar and salt scrubs deliver exceptional exfoliation, but they have distinct properties that make each ideal for different skin types and needs:

  • Sugar Scrubs — Sugar granules are finer and rounder than salt, making them gentler on the skin. Sugar also contains natural glycolic acid, which provides mild chemical exfoliation in addition to physical exfoliation. Ideal for sensitive skin, the face (with care), and everyday use.
  • Salt Scrubs — Salt granules are coarser and more angular, providing a more intense exfoliation. Salt also has natural detoxifying and mineral-rich properties. Ideal for rough areas like elbows, knees, and heels, and for those who prefer a more vigorous exfoliation experience.
  • Trio of Salt & Sugar Scrub — For those who want the best of both worlds, our signature trio combines the gentleness of sugar with the intensity of salt for a balanced, full-body exfoliation experience.

How to Exfoliate Like Royalty

  1. Begin on damp skin — Apply your scrub to damp skin in the shower or bath. The water softens the skin and allows the scrub to glide more smoothly.
  2. Massage in circular motions — Work the scrub into your skin using slow, circular motions. Move from the feet upward, always toward the heart, to support circulation.
  3. Focus on rough areas — Give extra attention to elbows, knees, heels, and any areas of roughness or dryness.
  4. Rinse thoroughly — Rinse with warm water until all scrub particles are removed.
  5. Follow with oil or butter — Immediately after rinsing, apply a body oil or body butter to freshly exfoliated skin. Freshly exfoliated skin absorbs nourishing products at a significantly deeper level — this is when your moisturizers work their hardest.

How Often Should You Exfoliate?

For most skin types, 2–3 times per week is the ideal frequency. Over-exfoliation can compromise the skin barrier and cause sensitivity, so listen to your skin and adjust accordingly. If your skin feels tight or sensitive after exfoliating, reduce frequency and follow with an extra-nourishing moisturizer.

Exfoliation is not just a skincare step — it is a ritual of renewal. A moment to shed what no longer serves you and reveal the radiance that was always there.
